Preakness Stakes Runners

The Kentucky Derby is one of many Stakes races that decide on who qualifies for any of the three Triple Crown legs, including the Preakness Stakes. Therefore it will not be until the Kentucky Derby has been run and all other Stakes races completed before the full field of Preakness Stakes runners is known. We now have the full list of runners for the race on Saturday and we have 12 entries going for glory at Pimlico.

One that we know will be heading to Pimlico is Super Saver who won the Kentucky Derby at Chrurchill Downs, he will now head to the Preakness aiming for the second leg of the Triple Crown. We may well be seeing the impressive Hurricane Ike who won the Churchill Downs Derby Trial just a few weeks ago for John Sadler and he looks set to take his chance at Pimlico.
